Nefertiti. She was virtually unknown until her tomb was discovered and her iconic bust was reveled to the world. She ruled Ancient Egypt with her husband and together they created a new religion, devotion to the Sun god. Her name is so cool Nefertiti and means - The beautiful woman has come. During art collage a friend, whom had just returned from Egypt, presented a slide show. I was hooked! The history. The Pharaohs. The people. The devotion. The beliefs. Mesmerizing and spooky.
This handcrafted collectable starts with an original Ken Fedoruk sculpture. Having already pictured the finished character in my head, plus I had some good reference, I move to applying the costume. In this case I used a wide variety of materials and focused on gold and turquoise. For embellishments I've used bits of vintage costume jewelry and Swarovski crystals for his crown. The finishing touches are richly painted eyes. The sculpture is about 5" long fits in the palm of your hand.
Each Kenfolks sculpture is an original creation and comes with an artists signature of authenticity.
