ORIGINAL ART
Bob Cratchit warming his hands by the candle. One piece of coal in the scuttle and a mound of work to complete.

Charles Dickens - A Christmas Carol. I've endeavoured to capture the image of Bob Cratchit’s bleak situation. I know the story by heart and love each and every character. In this diorama I wanted to portray the emotion of the character; tired, trapped, overworked, underpaid and definitely undervalued.

Made entirely by hand and with exquisite detail. The character is an original sculpture made with polymer clay then hand painted and adorned with hair and clothing that is rich in texture. My wife Joan built the furniture from oak and mahogany.

My signature on this piece guarantees the craftsmanship. Designed to last for generations this small piece of Christmas art will become a family heirloom.
