ORIGINAL ONE OF A KIND ART SCULPTURE

Kate Clifton:
The third oldest daughter to Dynamite Dan. The only member of the Bangtail Gang to have learned from her father the volatile and powerful nature of nitro and dynamite. He bestowed upon her the most important role...so she, and only she, handles the explosives and oversees ever ignition. Kate is patient, demure and forever at ease. She has to be. Calibrating correctly the amount of explosives and the length of fuse is paramount, as one mistake can end in disaster. Kate prefers to blast an iron safe over tunnels, brick walls or railcars. She likes the smell of burnt metal.

MY PROCESS:
With a character in mind and a handful of polymer clay I start sculpting. I will mix clays together to get the perfect complexion. The eyes are white glass beads with hand painted iris and pupils. For the teeth I use a white clay and for the tongue a soft pink. These details create a realistic contrast that I greatly prefer over painted accents.

The finished sculpture is then decorated entirely by hand and each character is exquisitely adorned to create a unique one of a kind art experience. To produce a tactile sculpture I use the finest materials available including real fur, Swarovski crystals, antique jewelry, top quality fabrics/leather, enamel paints and glues. After years of creating multi-medium sculptures I still believe the magic is in the details. Built to last, these will be cherished for generations.

This original piece of art is numbered KF173. All artwork is cataloged for providence and comes with a signed letter of authenticity.
